Unveiling of 'Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib's Seventh March Speech: Epic of Politics'

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has unveiled the cover of the book 'Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib's 7th March Speech: Epic of Politics', an English translation of the book 'Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib's 7th March Speech: Epic of Politics', which analyzes 26 sentences of the historic March 7 speech.

On Monday (March 28), before the main discussion began at the Cabinet meeting in the Cabinet Room of the Prime Minister's Office, he unveiled the book's cover as well as its mobile app and e-book.


The book was published by the Information and Communication Technology Division under the planning and overall supervision of State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak.


The book was translated from Bangla to English by senior journalist Syed Badrul Ahsan and edited by former professor of the English Department of Dhaka University Fakhrul Alam, Senior Secretary of the Information and Communication Technology Department NM Ziaul Alam, and senior journalist Ajit Kumar Sarkar.

The manuscript of the book was also reviewed by former Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique, former professor of Dhaka University Muntasir Mamun, and Prime Minister's Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim.

Bangabandhu finished his speech in 19 minutes and 108 sentences at the historic Suhrawardy Udyan on March 7, 1971. 26 sentences from this speech were analyzed by Dr. S. A. Malek, Abdul Gaffar Chowdhury, Professor Anisuzzaman and 26 renowned intellectuals, writers and journalists of the country. The speech uses words and sentences to describe the history of a nation and its struggle for the right to self-determination, exploitation and deprivation and the need to turn back against it. It also talks about the tactics by which war and people's war will be conducted. All these have been analyzed in the analysis of the writers.
