BNP leader Ishrak Hossain commented that some people are running the process of depoliticization in the country. He said, some are running the process of depoliticization in the country. As in the past, if necessary, we will continue to stand against injustice by taking to the streets again.

He said this at a discussion meeting and prayer ceremony on the occasion of the fifth death anniversary of freedom fighter Sadek Hossain Khoka, the former mayor of the undivided Dhaka City Corporation. Dhaka South City Corporation Sramik-Karmachari Union organized this meeting on the ground floor of Nagar Bhaban on Tuesday.

At the meeting, BNP leaders alleged that the Awami League government had destroyed all the electoral systems, starting from the national elections to the local ones. In the name of elections, incompetent people were put on the chair in a farce. After a long 16-year struggle, the desired success has come. Which was led by BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman. Although the Awami League tried to write a false history of the great liberation war, it did not succeed.

Engineer Ishrak Hossain said, I contested the Dhaka South City Corporation election as a BNP candidate in 2020. But Tapas, a relative of deposed dictator Sheikh Hasina, used his goon army and police administration to hijack the results. Later this tapas made the city of Dhaka uninhabitable. He urged everyone to work unitedly to build a livable Dhaka in the coming days.

He said that in 1971, the children of the sun of this country fought for a democratic state. Sadek Hossain Khoka was one of them guerrilla freedom fighters. But Awami League destroyed the country's democracy and established Bakshal. The fallen Awami League suppressed the opposition through disappearances, murders and torture for 16 years.

Ishraq Hossain said that the Awami League ran away from the mass uprising of the students. Leaders and supporters of BNP under the leadership of Tariq Rahman have brought down the dictatorship this time. In the days to come, this young generation will resist any fascism.

BNP Vice Chairman Barkat Ullah Bulu, Special Assistant to BNP Chairperson Shamsur Rahman Shimul Biswas, Dhaka Metropolitan South BNP Convener Rafiqul Alam Majnu, Member Secretary Tanveer Ahmed Robin and various levels of BNP and Nationalist Labor Party leaders were present in the meeting.
