Lakshmipur: A mobile court has sentenced two fishermen to imprisonment for fishing in the Meghna River during the prohibited time in Ramgati, Lakshmipur. On Wednesday (October 4) afternoon, Upazila Executive Magistrate and Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Azgar Ali ordered them to be imprisoned for one month each. A young man named Shaheen Alam (23) committed suicide in Ramgati, Laxmipur. On Sunday (September 1), at around 8.30 pm, he committed suicide by hanging himself from a raintree tree at the door of his house.
