
The camera is counting tigers in the Sundarbans
Cameras are being installed in the Sundarbans to count tigers. Two cameras are being installed at 665 points in four ranges in the world's largest mangrove forest. If a tiger, deer, pig or any other animal passes in front of the camera, that picture and 10-second video will be automatically captured. All the information from the tiger census will be published in June next year. The tiger census was inaugurated in the Kalabogi area of the Sundarbans on Sunday using the trapping method. While inaugurating the program, Deputy Minister for Environment and Forests Begum Habibun Nahar said that tiger conservation is essential to protect the biodiversity of the forest. The census is being conducted to know the number of tigers and their current status.
