39 arrested in DMP's anti-drug operation
The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested 39 people on charges of drug trafficking and consumption in various areas of the capital. The DMP's media wing reported this information on Saturday (September 17). The DMP said that they were arrested in various police stations in the capital from 6 am on Friday (September 16) to 6 am on Saturday. During this time, 394 pieces of Yaba, 50 grams of heroin, 17 kg 90 grams of marijuana, 50 bottles of Phensedyl, 64 liters of local liquor, two bottles of foreign liquor and 35 narcotic injections were recovered from them. 31 cases under the Narcotics Control Act were registered against the arrested people at the relevant police station.
