Dhaka: BNP's 44th founding anniversary (September 1). On this day in 1978, President Ziaur Rahman founded this political party under the name Bangladesh Nationalist Party-BNP. Program on the occasion of the founding anniversary: On Thursday (September 1), on the occasion of the 44th founding anniversary, the party flag will be hoisted at all BNP offices across the country, including the central office in Nayapaltan in the capital, at 6 am. At 12 noon, BNP national and central leaders will recite Fateha and offer wreaths at the mausoleum of party founder and former President Shaheed Ziaur Rahman (Bir Uttam) in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar.
