Fire at Dhaka College

A fire has been reported at Dhaka College in the capital. Two units of the fire service are working to control the fire. The fire broke out on the second floor of the botany department adjacent to the main administrative building of the college around 11 pm on Friday, Anwarul Islam Dolan, an officer of the media department of the Fire Service and Civil Defense, told reporters. He said that a pump has been installed to use water from the pond of Dhaka College to control the fire. It is believed that the fire started from an electrical short-circuit. Anti-narcotics operation in the capital, 44 arrests

The Crime and Intelligence Department of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested 44 people from different areas of the capital during an anti-drug drive. They were arrested between 6 am on Sunday and the same time on Monday (December 26), the Dhaka Metropolitan Police's media cell said. The DMP said that 44 people were arrested from different areas of the capital during a regular anti-drug drive. 24 arrested in anti-drug operation in Dhaka
