Anti-narcotics operation in the capital, 44 arrests
The Crime and Intelligence Department of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested 44 people from different areas of the capital during an anti-drug drive. They were arrested between 6 am on Sunday and the same time on Monday (December 26), the Dhaka Metropolitan Police's media cell said. The DMP said that 44 people were arrested from different areas of the capital during a regular anti-drug drive. During this time, 1,286 pieces of Yaba, 143.3 grams of heroin, 10 bottles of Phensedyl and 9 kg 300 grams of marijuana were seized from them. In addition, 31 cases under the Narcotics Control Act have been filed against the arrested people at the relevant police stations, the Dhaka Metropolitan Police said.
