Dhaka: The Department of Secondary and Higher Education has prepared a revised timetable for 5 days by coordinating 6 days of class activities in view of the implementation of 2 days a week holiday in educational institutions.
The Department of Secondary and Higher Education (DSE) on Wednesday (August 31) announced new class activities. According to the revised schedule, there will be 7 classes per day in sixth to tenth class from Sunday to Thursday.
It is said that 2-day weekend on Friday and Saturday has already been implemented in all educational institutions of the country. In order not to create a learning deficit for the students and to keep the subject structure of the curriculum intact, the traditional time table of the educational institutions has been revised for classes VI to XII.
6th to 10th Class: A total of 35 class activities (periods) will be conducted from Sunday to Thursday, 7 times a week.
In a shift-based institution, the duration of class activities is 6 hours and 10 minutes with a daily assembly of 15 minutes and a break of 30 minutes.
Class XI & XII: Each class activity will be of 50 minutes duration. 5 class activities (periods) per week for Bengali, English and branch-based 3 elective subjects and 3 class activities (periods) for Information and Communication Technology subjects will be conducted. That is, total 2 (25 +3) class activities will be conducted in a week. 5 class activities (periods) will be conducted for optional subjects.
