Initial registration for the 2025 Hajj will begin on September 1. This registration process, through both government and private channels, will continue until November 30 of this year. The initial registration period will not be extended later.
Any person who has previously or newly pre-registered can make the initial registration by depositing three lakh taka. The remaining amount of the Hajj package price must be paid within the specified time in the package. This year's Hajj package price will be announced subject to the cost of the Saudi leg and airfare. However, an attempt will be made to reduce the general Hajj package price for 2025 compared to last year.
The pre-registration fee for both government and private channels is 30 thousand taka. The quota of Hajj pilgrims for Bangladesh in 2025 is 1 lakh 27 thousand 198 people. Once this quota is filled, the initial registration process will automatically close.
In the general package, there will be a maximum of 6 seats in a room in a house or hotel. However, there will be a package upgrade facility. Hajj agencies will be able to send Hajj pilgrims with the facility of special packages. The list of agencies initially eligible to conduct Hajj activities can be found at www.hajj.gov.bd. People wishing to perform Hajj through the e-Hajj system (www.hajj.gov.bd), e-Hajj BD mobile app can do pre-registration and initial registration from all Union Digital Centers, Divisional and District Offices of Islamic Foundation, Baitul Mukarram Mosque and Ashkona Hajj Office in Dhaka. Pilgrims performing Hajj through private means will have to do initial registration through an authorized agency. Pre-registration certificate and passport will be required at the time of initial registration.
Those who wish to perform Hajj through government channels will have to deposit the money in favor of account number 0002633000908 under the title Sale Proceeds of Hajj Deposit at Sonali Bank PLC, Local Office Branch, Motijheel, Dhaka. The initial registration money can be deposited through a voucher at any branch of Sonali Bank. Pilgrims performing Hajj through private channels will have to deposit the initial registration money at the bank account designated by the agency.
People suffering from chronic diseases such as cancer, advanced cardiac, liver cirrhosis, kidney disease, infectious tuberculosis, dementia, pregnant women and people with mobility disabilities have been requested not to register for Hajj.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs issued a letter in this regard on Sunday.
