Ruhul Kabir made these remarks at a brief rally after a protest march organized in front of the BNP office in Nayapaltan in the capital on Sunday. The march was organized by former leaders of the Chhatra Dal and Swechchhasebak Dal to demand the release of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia and imprisoned leaders and activists.

Calling the current government a 'loot' government, Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said, "Those who are robbing banks, looting, and occupying rivers, canals, and canals are walking around with great pomp. It is proven that they are all members of the ruling party. If this government is in power, it will also sell the houses of the people of the country."

Referring to Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader, BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Rizvi said, "They (Awami League) say BNP is in league with Pakistan. Whatever BNP says is true and clear. And they (Awami League) say it's a matter of degrees. They are in league with degrees. This is Obaidul Quader's language, not ours."

The rally was attended by BNP Central Organizing Secretary Abdus Salam Azad, Jubo Dal Vice President Zakir Hossain, former acting president of Chhatra Dal Rashed Iqbal Khan, former vice president of Swechchhasebak Dal Rafiq Howlader, Abul Kalam Azad and others.
