The Suez Canal, the world's busiest trade waterway, has once again become stuck. The 828-foot-long ship lost control after entering a narrow section of the canal.

On Wednesday, boat traffic was closed for several hours on the narrow canal.

It is learned that the Singapore-based Affinity Five got stuck in the narrow part of the southern part of the canal during the journey. A line of several other ships formed behind it. The ship was removed without major complications by 5 tugboats. The stuck Affinity Five was heading for Saudi Arabia after unloading cargo in Portugal, according to the shipping tracking company Tankers Trackers.

It is worth noting that earlier, at the end of March 2021, the cargo ship 'Ever Given' was stranded in the narrow passage of the Suez Canal. At that time, a jam of 300 vessels was formed on both sides of the canal.
